Trip to Boise

Lacey went with me to Boise for Lacey's first plane trip. Lacey slept the whole time. She had a lot of fun playing with canon, londyn, and halle. Alexis is pregnant, we think it will be a boy. Right now we are trying to decide what to do for thanksgiving. For Christmas we are flying to SLC and my parents are picking us up. I was pregnant last year so I definately will be excited to go skiing and stuff this year. Chris is doing well in college and received a letter in the mail saying he is on the Presidential Achievment list at Griffin Technical College. I am working and staying at home with Lacey. We enjoy our days, but love when daddy gets home from work!

Lacey trying to crawl at 3 months old!

Lacey started trying to crawl when she was just 2 months old! This footage was when she was three months old. Today is Nov. 5 2007 and she is six months old and can go all over the place, mostly pulling with her arms and pushing with her feet, but not quite up on her knees yet! She started sitting up when she was 5 1/2 months old all by herself. She also started eating rice cereal at about that time. Now she wants to try walking! But we are sure she'll be a crawling pro by christmas of this year!

Lacey's First Teeth!

Last night, chris saw that Lacey's two bottom teeth were coming in. We knew she had been teething for awhile now, but hadn't actually seen them. Now they are finally here! I already have special plans for when she loses her teeth, but we'll have to wait to tell you what they are since she may read this before then :) Well, in a few days me and Lacey are going to Idaho. We're going to watch Alexis's kids while her and Trent go to Mazatlan. I am excited about that. Also, we just found out that Alexis is pregnant, which is great. I just looked at Lacey, scooting around on the ground. She has always been able to scoot around and get around without actually crawling, it is soooo cute and very smart. Have I mentioned she's a baby genius? She is so smart, we expect great things from her. Chris is doing a javascript and mysql class right now, and I'm helping with his psychology. I think it is quite interesting really. Maybe I should have majored in it instead of marketing. Or a teaching subject. I have always thought I'd be a good teacher. But sometimes kids can be so frustrating. I think I'd have to teach high school, possibly Literature or English or Social Studies, History or Business. Let me know if there are any job openings!!!

Girls Nights Out

So I went on my first girls night out since I've been married. Chris watched Lacey while I went with Claire Allred and Sarah Gunnels to Johnny Carinos and ate and then we went to the movies. We saw sydney white, which is about a newer version of snow white and I quite liked. It was fun, and really sweet of chris to watch lacey. Today I went to the relief society broadcast and it was good. Only like 9 people came, Claire, michelle periscenni, and a few others. But it was fun. Lacey is doing good, teething, but other than that is a happy girl.

Slow Day

Today was a pretty un-eventful day. Lacey was very hungry or teething, whichever one I don't know, but she was crying for hours! And she usually is a very good girl, I am not sure whats wrong. I worked about three hours and then ran out of stuff to do at our software company. I played Dance Dance Revolution with Chris for our daily exercise. I need to exercise more and eat less! But that is hard to do! Well, now I'll probably just watch more T.V., as there is not much to do around here.

Introducing Deidre and Lacey!

See live footage of Deidre and Lacey's first webcam appearances. Lacey must be camera shy - she doesn't have much to say yet!

Business Ideas

Here is where I'll post all business ideas chris, me, or other family members think of:

1. A car seat that doubles as a stroller and lights up if the base is inserted into the seat and the child is not straped in properly.

2. Flipping houses - I think we'd be good at it.

3. Naomi's idea: Much like a sports gym, except for arts and crafts. One room for sewing and knitting and quilting, one for painting, one for sculpting, one for painting ceramics, and one for beading jewely. Maybe even a small secure day-care inside. Next to it is a store selling supplies. Non-member can pay a one-time fee, members pay monthly.

4. Buying a piece of roadside property and having other people put thier for sale cars on it. They pay a one-time fee of $50 and it sits til it sells. Possibly we could help with financing the cars for the buyers.

5. My own Mormon High School in heavily populated Mormon area far from Utah. Strict standards and anyone can enroll - for a heaftly private school fee.

6. Modest prom dresses shop.

7. At-home day care center so I can be a stay at home mommy.

Come on friends and family - list your ideas here!

a little girl

Ode to a little girl
So precious and adorable
So huggable and fun

This is Lacey
Sweeter than candy
Her smile is contagious
People sit next to me at church just to hold her and who can blame them. She is the pinnacle of all things wonderful and great. She is the best any baby could be.

Today was a good day. We went to church. Chris is the 2nd counciler in the young mens, but noone has told him what to do or whatever so he hasn't really started yet. I don't have a calling, and I quite like it because I get to go to relief society, and I enjoy it. We made Kabobs for lunch and we're having crockpot potatoes, carrots, and ribs for dinner. The ribs were very cheap I hope they end up tasting good. Lacey is currently napping, she needs two naps a day right now. I am going to start the Business section of my blog next.

People in my life

As today is my first entery, there is much catching up to do. First, I am happily married to my college sweetheart, Chris Cross Applesauce (his nickname. Another nickname: Bear, or Honey, or Sweetie). He is so perfect. I bet he's the hottest man on earth. And he is very sweet to me and our daughter, Lacey. Lacey is the cutest baby on earch. She is also very sweet and wow, everyone can't believe how good of a baby she is. She never cries of gets upset, she just smiles and makes cute gurgly sounds in her throat. She loves playing with her dad. She loves taking baths and sleeping, eating, and crawling. She started trying to crawl at 2 months. She really is just scooting still at 4 1/2 months, but watch out, she gets where she wants to go! She is incredibly smart. When she was 2 months old the doctors thought she was 4 months old she was soooooo smart and could crawl so well! There have been rumors that she could possibly see her deceased Aunt Rozlyn. Although these are unconfirmed, they are something to think about. Well, that is about all I can think of right now to say about Lacey and Chris, the two people I love the most in the universe. And Jesus of course! I also love my dad who is sooooooooooo funny. he will make you laugh or your money back guaranteed. My mom is more quiet, but she is smart and knows exactly what is going on. My sister Alexis and brother J.R. are also both quite smart. I don't know how, but our family has some sort of smart gene and Lacey definately got it. She also got the I-love-everybody-and-I-Am-happy-go-lucky gene, which my brother Colter has. Everyone loves colter and Lacey, they are both sooo nice and fun to be around. Chris is the only true entreprenuer in the bunch. Every week he comes up with a million dollar business idea. I think I'll start a section recording his ideas! He would be a millionaire by now for sure if he wasn't married to me, I am so scared to invest money into anything!!!

Chris is awesome. How did I get sooooooooo lucky?
